I know he was caught up in the moment and all, but Mahomes really put his foot in it by cussing out the ref - who was 100% in the right - on a hot mic. That's not going to get KC any favorable future calls. Also, there is literally no rule requiring a "warning" before such a call is made.

You'll notice no one from KC said, "Yeah, my bad, rules are rules, won't happen again. Cost my team the game." Looking at you, Kadarius.

BTW, the fines for criticizing the officials and the league were $100,000 to Andy Reid, plus another $50,000 to St. Patrick "for violating the prohibition against abusive, threatening or insulting language to officials."
