Personally, I don't have a problem with sports spoilers. I find I can still enjoy watching an event even if I know the outcome, and it sometimes saves me a lot of time when I decide I don't have to sit through something.

I'm no longer bummin' over Poker. The fact that they have changed the format has helped that a lot. I can also enjoy watching the Olympics stuff even with knowing what has happened, but try to stay away from hearing results anyway. I just think it's stupid when they have a policy to not do that and then they violate it in such a stupid way. NBC has apologized and said it won't happen again. I'm sure it won't. Too embarrassing for them.

Trying hard not to whine about officiating (I sympathize with the officials in many sports, not a job I would want) but did anyone else watch the Semi-final women's soccer match between the US and Canada? I'm not a soccer fan but really enjoyed the game.....and I have to agree with the Canadian players (who are now facing suspensions) who claimed that the referree was favouring the US and made questionable calls that ultimately cost Canada the game and their chance at gold.

Am I wearing Maple Leaf shaped/coloured glasses or did others see the same thing?

Didn't watch it but from what I heard, Canada had leads and lost them. Officials called a penalty that is in the rule books, regardless of whether or not it is usually called.

Iffy call and I can see why they're upset, but that's part of the game. Technically it was the correct call but yeah.
The trick is to play well enough that one iffy call can't cost you the game.

The Olympics are a giant piece of ****. Hockey is the only good sport. Most of the other athletes are on PED's. I'll watch the NFL if I want to see science experiments compete. At least that's a sport. I don't even think these "athletes" are the best at what they do. Put a million dollars at the finish line of some stupid race and Deion Sanders, in his prime, would win the gold.

I'm sure some are... but not to the extent that they become science experiments. Blood doping helps with endurance, not the high intensity burst needed in hockey. Being strong helps, but not to the extent that roiding would help.

Like the NBA, I suspect alcohol and marijuana usage is more widespread than PED's.
