BTW, owners can set their teams in advance, in case someone didn't know or forgot.

If he asked you to keep his roster up to date, I think you should get him a kicker. If I was in his position and fielded a bye-week starter, I would be, justifiably IMHO, pissed.

IMHO, the best option for his team, is to drop his current kicker for Kasay. His current kicker is crap, I'm surprised he didn't make this move already....

Good catch. I'm not sure I would've noticed that my kicker is crap/on bye in time. FWIW, doing nothing would have been acceptable to me due to lack of specific add/drop instructions.

As for setting up the team in advance, last year I had it reset some of the later weeks on me based on the intervening weeks, so I'm not sure I trust it entirely.

I think you have backups for all your offensive players, so it shouldn't be a major issue. Your defensive players however...

Yeah, when I realized I drafted 2 LBs with the same week 5 bye, I felt sort of compelled to use my backup slots to correct that. I'm trying to parse together some coherent instructions for week 8. Week 9 looks like even more fun but I'll be back by then to deal with it myself.
