JR wanted you to follow the rules, just as he wants everyone else to follow the rules - I'd say that's a rather defining characteristic of JR. The fact that he was the one affected (or not) is irrelevant. I'd also note he didn't ask you to change your pick - just that he complained it was uncool for you to change it. I think that's entirely reasonable.
