You guys can do whatever gentlemen's agreements you want on the side, but draft pick trades are not permitted. I should also mention: I won't enforce any such agreements. I don't like being perceived as a *****, but (1) rules are rules, and (2) changing personnel from team to team within Yahoo's "Enter Draft Results" is a royal pain in the arse. And draft picks themselves cannot AFAIK be reassigned within that tool. Once you enter the custom draft order (which I have), that's the draft order. It's locked.

The fact that it has come up does not make it a good idea. I will be solidly against anything that further adds to my time administering these things.

This is the draft, and I strongly recommend that everyone proceed with their own 22 picks as we have in the past. After the draft is over and official starting rosters are posted, normal trading and free agency will open.

Hmm. It sure would be a shame if someone changed their draft strategy based on a contingent trade and then one of the key players was to get injured or arrested...

This discussion brings up a question I had....obviously the bench positions can be any position (all kickers I am planning), but when the draft ends, in order to have a valid team, at a minimum we have to fill every other defined position correct? (Something for anyone planning trades to keep in mind I would think, lest the negotiated trade invalidate their team).

Edit: here's another question, if someone in the draft is on your ignore list for all but the draft, can you still trade with them (as once you are able to trade with them...you won't be able to see their posts)

Since it's not explicitly stated and some people are incapable of comprehending the intent of the rules, let me state this:

All the above roster slots must be filled with players available on Yahoo. There are no restrictions on the 9 Bench postitions. If someone* doesn't draft a Kicker or drafts only one RB, Yahoo will not allow me to declare the draft complete and open the league.

Let me be perfectly clear: Every team must have every position listed in the league settings filled at the end of the draft.

This is a game with rules and conventions. They should apply to all of us equally. We have been playing for years, and everyone who has been a part of it should know the drill.
