    I didn't see the check on Hamhuis.

    There are precisely zero videos for "hambuis crosscheck" or "hamhuis cross check" on YouTube, so clearly I'm not the only one not calling for a suspension.

    Hamhuis got injured while giving a hipcheck to Lucic...


    You want Lucic suspended for receiving a hipcheck? Did I get that right?

    Hell, Hamhuis could've been suspended for that.

      It's the Goon Theory of addition by subtraction. Have an interchangeable role player take out a skilled first-liner.
      Clearly works out in Vancouver's favor, suspension or no.

      Nice to know that Canucks fans are already prepared to blame Bettman and an evil conspiracy should they not win the Cup.

        It says a lot that Ben thinks Lucic crosschecked Hamhuis, causing his injury, in that video.

              I didn't see the check on Hamhuis.
              I did. It was late, after the play and drew a penalty. Since injuries are what matters here we should expect a suspension.

                Do you think that it's fair that more than half of the total suspension time in the entire history of the stanley cup finals have been served by Rome?

                I think that's ridiculous. I know that had this happened to Chicago, you'd be the first to complain.

                  The video I embedded shows the "crosscheck" you are complaining about. After Hamhuis goes hard into the boards awkwardly while low-bridging Lucic, Krejci pins him with his stick like you see in every game while Hamhuis was already on the ice. Without even a lot of force.

                        Actually, if you look closely, Krejci doesn't even seem to touch him with the stick.

                        That's a pretty bull**** call. It certainly isn't suspension worthy!

                          How the **** would you imagine that caused his injury that prevents him from skating?

                          He low-bridged Lucic and went awkwardly into the boards. He's also just coming off other injuries so he probably wasn't 100% to begin with. You can tell as he's sliding on his knees that he ****ed something up, before Krejci even got to him.

                              This clip is in 720p, from the NBC feed which showed the hit from many different angles zoomed in. The injury is clearly from the hipcheck. It's also clear the Canucks got lucky, because that was certainly not a crosschecking penalty.

                                So why does this excuse explain the crosscheck after the play and his injury. Couldn't I also say the same about Horton, that he was injured becuase he wasn't 100 percent either?

                                Suspend Krejci for the rest of the SCF and I'll call it fair.
