I completely and categorically reject your premise that penalties should equalize .

Chicago was the third least penalized team over the 82 games (I guess that was a pro Chicago or was it anti-Vancouver conspiracy too) -- Vancouver was the 13th least penalized team and on average took about 2:30 more per game in minors-- For them to take more penalties now would be in their character as a team

Putting away the whistles completely led to the boring clutch and grab games that we all hated-- Sometimes there are bad calls but overall I prefer the game today--

It's not my complaint about the penalties, but that they have been so uneven. Average of 2:30 a game would be around +6 penalties. Instead it's +13, which is huge. That, plus the penalty shot which is about 3 penalties.

Can't hang this on Luongo-- Coming in as he did is tough-- he made a decent save but took himself out of it for the rebound-- THis was NOT a Luongo choke but on the other hand he didn't have to make many (any ??) tough saves

Never should have been in OT in the first place. Calling a penalty shot in the playoffs to change the game is ridiculous. Pity. Canucks outscored the Hawks over 3 periods, and it wasn't enough.

I'm hoping we'll see the zebras let them play again so we can have a great game 7 again. That would make the games actually worthwhile to watch and not scripted.
