    What I truly don't get is why ~80% of Canucks fans are whining about the reffing?
    So I'm one of the 20 percent

    I'd say it's the opposite. 20 percent complaining and 80 percent the other way. The officiating wasn't great. There were far too many penalties in the game. I would have liked to see them let the players play.

      If the Canucks win in a 1-0 shutout, with one of the third liners scoring the winning goal, it'll be Bobby Lou.
      Why would you object to that? The man would have 3x shutouts in the SCF, and tying the all-time record.

          Because even with 3x shutouts, he'd have an awful save percentage. He also set all-time records for worst road game performances, consecutive goals against, times pulled, etc.

          Tim Thomas has given his team a HELL of a chance to win every night with consistency. Luongo did the opposite in three games. At least.

            Because even with 3x shutouts, he'd have an awful save percentage. He also set all-time records for worst road game performances, consecutive goals against, times pulled, etc.
            And with a team that hadn't scored more than 3 goals in an entire series, he'd be the only reason why they would be holding up the cup.

            Tim Thomas has given his team a HELL of a chance to win every night with consistency.
            He's just simply been not good enough so far.

                  A goaltender that can't EVER come close to playing like even an AHL-level goaltender in away games can't win Conn Smythe. He's been way too inconsistent.

                  Tim Thomas plays outstanding wherever he is. That's the difference between an elite goaltender one that is simply a highly paid one.

                  FWIW, Schneider has better numbers.

                    A goaltender that can't EVER come close to playing like an AHL-level goaltender in away games can't win Conn Smythe. He's been way too inconsistent.
                    Bobby Lou's hit highs that Thomas wasn't able to match. If his name were Bobby Lou, you'd be going on about how Bobby Lou, just lets in the one goal that costs the team the championship. However his name is Tim Thomas, so you don't think this is the case.

                              My problem is my assessment that Bobby was outgoaltended in 3 of 4 series. The performance in some games is great but the lack of consistency kills him for this in my view

                                Of the 15 Game 7 SCF games in history, 12 were won by the hometeam. So the odds for Vancouver are still very good.
