The agents for San Diego Chargers receiver Vincent Jackson and New England Patriots guard Logan Mankins reportedly are demanding their clients become unrestricted free agents once the lockout is lifted or receive $10 million payments as part of the settlement of the Brady vs. NFL antitrust lawsuit.

When are you and your bosom buddy going to start devaluing Vincent Jackson's (fairly mediocre to everyone but you) talents because of his selfish douchery and lack of team spirit?

That suit, by the way, is one of the things that need to be resolved before the lockout is lifted. According to the article, no one expects Vincent Jackson to prolong the lockout as it appears he is trying to do. His demands as an agreement nears are obviously douchey, though.

Even though the lockout hasn't been settled, it's looking very probable that the Eagles will be trading Kevin Kolb to the Cardinals for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a mid-round pick. I'm seeing rumors from those close to both camps.

I guess the Eagles really want all their corners to be the 'cheat-up' variety. Looking forward to Eli Manning pump faking the crap out of them and hitting Nicks or Manningham wide open.

He held out then got suspended last year. I don't think anybody drafted him last year. Guynemer might have in D/ST league but it was a late flyer move.

Vincent Jackson is a bad receiver. For his size (6'5" 230lbs!!! Exact same size as significantly superior Plaxico Burress) and athletic ability (fast as hell for his size), he should be monstrous, taking games over like Andre Johnson, especially with a QB like Rivers throwing him the ball and Antonio Gates getting all the defensive attention. Instead, he's a one-dimensional player with average #1 WR stats.

How does a guy with his physical attributes and in that offense only have 2 1000 yard seasons in 6 years, averages 4.6 TD's a season, and has never had more than 68 catches in a season. Dude is carried by his size and speed and he still is mediocre by the standards of a #1 WR.

Well somebody better get him if it's not going to be the Bears. Can't let the Eagles get him. Vick, McCoy, Jackson, Maclin, Celek, and Plaxico is indefensible.

2009: 101 catches 1120 yards
2010: 86 catches 1014 yards

That's 4 straight 1000 yard seasons since his sophmore season... that's 3 straight 100-catch seasons... Only 4 other players in league history have had 3 straight 100-catch seasons... He has the single game reception record...

Brandon Marshall is elite. Even if he somehow isn't (which wouldn't be supported by his stats), he's leagues ahead of Vincent Jackson. Brandon Marshall only needs about 6 games to catch as many passes as Vincent Jackson catches in a season.

Only one player in NFL history has had more than a single 15+ reception game in his entire career... 27-year old Brandon Marshall. That is madness. Not even Jerry Rice or Marvin Harrison or anyone else you can think of has had 2 15+ reception games (Rice had one; Harrison never had more than 14 catches). Brandon Marshall has. Hell, he has 2 18+ reception games so doesn't look like that record is getting broken anytime soon. Besides Marshall, only Terrell Owens has ever had an 18+ reception game.
