Kevin Kolb is pretty terrible. He can't pass for crap. I know the Eagles O-line is bad but Vick always seemed to have time to throw. Kolb starts scrambling out of the pocket or taking a 10 yard drop-back as soon as he gets the snap.

See that, JRabbit? Kolb IS a scrambler. Kolb is #2 on the team rushing in this game but most of the time he's been scrambling around and throwing it out of bounds so even his 21 yards rushing is understating how much Kolb is running. He looks terrible passing though.

His stat-line looks very good but it's all from dump-offs to McCoy, FB Schmitt, and Celek with those guys getting all the yardage after the catch. Kolb has shown no ability so far in hitting his receivers or throwing passes longer than 10 yards.

Late in the 4th quarter and Maclin and Desean Jackson only have 1 catch each with Jackson's coming from a pass by Vick. Kolb to Jackson has been nonexistant even with Jackson open deep down field.

Personally, as a Maclin owner, I'm thrilled with the Kolb Era. Now, there is a future in Philly.

Kolb is stinking it up. It's a shame his stat-line looks so great... so someone like you would praise him... but he has been pretty bad. This is a very deceiving 102.1 QB rating.

And I had nothing but good things to say about Kolb before the season began. I thought he would be reminiscent of Rodgers or Rivers when they took over but his performance on the field says otherwise. He's looking like Trent Edwards but Edwards if he was lucky enough to have guys like McCoy and Schmitt who can run after the catch.

It says a lot about Kolb's ability when, even though he has a great QB rating in this one, the running backs have 16 catches and Maclin and Jackson combine for 2.

Kolb is the new Captain Checkdown.

Unlike you I believe in giving people a chance. If Kolb were black, you'd be praising him. I think Kolb is going to be a fine QB, just needs a little seasoning.

The problem, Ben, is you think Kolb is a rookie. Kolb is a 4th year veteran with THE most explosive receiver in football and one of the best #2 receivers. There is absolutely no reason why he can't come out playing well. He looked like a replica of Trent Edwards out there.

His stat-line came back to earth a bit with the pick so he finishes off with a 73.5 QB rating which is much more representative of how he played than the earlier 102.1. Still, this is a case of a player's stats exaggerating his on the field play.

I actually had Vick and DeShaun as lames this week. Why should I listen to the analysts who have been slobbering over Vick the last 2 weeks? I know McNabb, and I know McNabb knows the Philly O and D. This was a trap game for Vick and DeShaun.

Kolb is just a bonus at this point.

One, he wasn't expecting to start this game. Two, he's not got a full season under his belt. RBs are plug and play. QBs/WRs take time and experience to season. Until he has a full season, I don't expect that much from Kolb.

Again, switch Kolb and Vick's race and you'd be saying precisely the opposite. Vick is a known. Scrambling, below-average pocket passer NFL QB. Kolb? We don't know. We've not yet seen enough of him.

Anyone can put up big points against the Lions. Kolb at this point is an unknown. I'd like to see Kolb play more so he can become known.

Desean Jackson not the best receiver on the team? As good as Maclin is, you're smoking crack if you don't think Jackson is the best receiver on the team. And I did NOT say Jackson is the best receiver in the NFL. I said he is the most explosive which he is. There's no ifs ands or buts about it. He leads the NFL so far this year with an INCREDIBLE 24.5 yards per catch! That is insane. Jackson is clearly the most explosive receiver.

All your talk about Kolb not expecting to start is BS. One, he's a backup QB who must always be ready. Two, he was supposed to be the starter this year to begin with! All year, through camp and the preseason, he's been working on being the starter! That is no excuse, Ben.
