Can't wait for all those sequences of TD-commercial-touchback-commercial-start from the 20...

Madden 12 changing the treatment of concussions.
Today at the Sports Business Journal World Congress of Sports conference the topic of concussions in the NFL was raised. EA Sports president Peter Moore was on hand and delivered the news that Madden NFL 12 is changing the way concussions are handled. Players that experience a concussion in Madden will be out for the entire game rather than them returning automatically or giving the user the option to reinsert them.
This is a good way to deliver the message that concussions are a serious issue and shouldn’t be overlooked, particularly with the potential influence on youngsters who may think of the injury differently given how it is represented in Madden. However with that it would be fair to expect the game to be tuned to produce concussions infrequently, and that big hits will continue to be deemphasized to go along with the image the NFL wants to portray."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Wow Pennington is made out of glass or something. It's not his shoulder this time, though:
Miami Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington has a torn knee ligament and will undergo surgery next week.
Hard-luck quarterback Chad Pennington tore an anterior cruciate ligament in a pickup basketball game and will undergo surgery next week.
Pennington's agent, Tom Condon, said in a news release Thursday that Pennington will have the operation April 7 and well-known surgeon Dr. James Andrews will perform it. The release did not say which knee Pennington injured."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

QB controversy in Dallas!
"I loved playing with Kitna," tight end Martellus Bennett said during a Tuesday appearance on ESPN 103.3's Ben & Skin Show. "Kitna is one of my favorite people to play with. Just being out there on the field with that guy just makes you play even harder. He made some things happen in limited time, so I think if he got a longer chance, he'd be able to do more.[..."]
...
Bennett isn't the first Dallas offensive player to suggest that Kitna could compete with Romo if given the chance. On the night Romo was injured, receiver Roy Williams declared that Kitna "is just as good," a point Williams reiterated on a few occasions.

Interesting Q&A article by Lester Munson at ESPN.
Short version:
Q: Will the losing side appeal Judge Nelson's ruling?
A: Yes. There are two things that are absolutely certain about Wednesday's hearing. The losing side will appeal, and the appeal will be a time-consuming process, prolonging the agony of fans worried about the 2011 season.
The appeal will go to the U.S. Court of Appeal for the 8th Circuit in Denver. It is a conservative court. What would a panel of three relatively conservative jurists do with the NFLPA's decertification? At a time when conservative politicians are attacking union membership and collective bargaining in Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio and elsewhere, would conservative judges on the high court force football players back into a union that they have voluntarily abandoned?
Maybe, maybe not.
A decision on any appeal would come in the early summer.
