    • Yeah, we get it. You are a godlike figure in FF. We will gladly join you in ignoring the fact that your victory this week was over the 10th highest scoring team in the league, and focus on the fact that EPW was a miraculous 3-0 before his 104-pt Week 4. Well done!

Question: Did you know that every single team in our league will actually play every other team? After 11 weeks, strength of schedule variance will equal ZERO. You can talk about your awesomely tough schedule at the end of the season, when you play 3 teams a second time.

You're doing well, 2nd in the league in scoring, and that (as the odds favor) has produced 4 victories. I'm actually more impressed that Jaguar leads the league in scoring but is 2-2 -- indicating that HE is the one who has played the tougher sceule.

      Congrats.

So commenting that I've played all the good teams except for slowwy isn't true? Look, I figured I would go 0-4 to start and have a huge hole to climb out of. I'm beyond thrilled that my squad has done so well.

I actually hope you win because I want to play all the best teams. Including you.

And I can talk about it now when I've played 4 of the top 6 teams, minus Slowwhand and Tuberski who I play this week.

I'm actually more impressed that Jaguar leads the league in scoring but is 2-2 -- indicating that HE is the one who has played the tougher sceule.
Hence the comment right above yours that I'm glad I played him already, and I still have to face him once more.

          • I said nothing about truth. I'm just not a big believer in crowing early in the season. Call me superstitious. But hey, knock yourself out.

At this point of the season, the only reliable indicator of team quality IMHO is points scored. You're second, and within spitting distance of Jaguar. Wouldn't matter what your W/L was. As I said, well done and congrats.

As for the Rabbits, I don't place my team in the playoffs at this point, especially with the close loss to Slowwy. That may ultimately cost me my shot. But regardless, Cutler will be inconsistent, Favre has been an ugly alternative, and I'm not proving very prescient in setting my lineups. I've missed virtually every good week by Royal, TO, Naanee, LWashington, Spiller, Braylon and Marshawn. None of whom were supposed to play much of a role, but it looks like Bowe and Aromashadu are turning out to be wasted picks. Hell, if Cutler had put up 50 this week, I still would have lost. There's still time, but thus far, things are not breaking my way. But things can change. We shall see.

Neither am I. I didn't say I'm going to roll over everybody. All I see is that I have another 2 seed next week, which will mean another tough, tough battle.

As I said, well done and congrats.
Thank you. That means quite a bit to me. I agree that Jag has the best team right now.

Any given Sunday. You've been snakebitten so far. Luck tends to even out over the course of the season.

              • I'm an old hand at this. I don't panic.

But if Cutler is shell-shocked and Favre doesn't pull it together, it could be another long season. Should be interesting.

                  • WEEK FIVE RESULTS
                    *
                    Vicious Rabbits - 132.31
                    Pornhuskers - 186.74

Zopper's Pornhuskers post the highest point total of the week with consistent performances throughout the lineup, bracketed by Romo's 46 and a huge 54-point day by the IDPs. The hapless Rabbits fall to the basement, wasting a big day from Matt Forte as their ride through matchup hell continues.
                    *
                    Dallas Dwarf Tossers - 143.28
                    Deviations - 144.16

Sloww's magic karma train runs off the rails with a razor-thin loss to Koyaanisqatsi. With both QBs ineffective, the biggest differential was on the defense, as big days by Kerry Rhodes and DJ Williams helped the Deviations overcome big days by Dwarf Tossers Hakeem Nicks and Marcedes Lewis.
                    *
                    Random Encounter - 130.47
                    Forte's Firemen - 164.64

In another matchup featuring some sad numbers from the QB position, Snoopy's team finally wakes up for a win, led by big days from Ray Rice and an amazing 23 points from kicker Josh Scobee! ColdWizard watches helplessly as Vince Young fails to get the Random Encounter through Brady's bye.
                    *
                    KenobilovesLT - 160.49
                    Hairball Express - 91.19

Blowout of the week as Ben's top-ranked squad lays undisputed claim to the top slot, undefeated at 5-0 and leading the league in scoring. In a week of bad QB play in the NFL, Rivers' 44-point performance was enough to make this a blowout, as Tuberski's squad was doomed by a horrible day by Matt Schaub.
                    *
                    Calamitous Intent - 92.91
                    Teh Peeled Bananas = 157.48

In the battle of the Manning brothers, EPW returns to his winning ways with a solid performance led by big days from Chris Johnson and Miles Austin, while Guynemer's team absorbs a bad day from Peyton - and just about everyone else on the Intent.
                    *
                    Mountain Goats - 134.76
                    Topeka Twisters - 135.72

Another game decided by less than one point, as Berz squeaks out a win over Jaguar in a game where both Brees and Rodgers were mediocre. Topeka nearly frittered away a huge lead during MNF, hanging on for dear life as Percy Harvin's 30-point night was sabotaged by Ryan Longwell's pathetic 2-point effort to come up just short in this heartbreaker.

                            • WEEK SIX RESULTS
                              #
                              Vicious Rabbits - 133.55
                              KenobilovesLT - 129.46

Using deceit, trickery and bribery, the last-place Rabbits knock the Kenobis out of the unbeaten ranks in the lowest-scoring game of the week. Both teams suffered from sub-par QB performances, with the Rabbits surviving some MNF drama for this shocking victory.
                              #
                              Dallas Dwarf Tossers - 143.35
                              Pornhuskers - 161.20

Zopperoni rode consistent performances across the board to a solid victory over Sloww, putting both teams at .500. Both teams got consistent performances except at QB, where Romo spanked Matt Ryan by 16 points - basically the final margin.
                              #
                              Random Encounter - 133.03
                              Deviations - 140.89

Another close, low-scoring game marked by inconsistent QB play. Koya's 20-point margin on defense proves to be enough to overcome a bad day from Shaun Hill and push ColdWizard into the basement.
                              #
                              Forte's Firemen - 146.05
                              Topeka Twisters - 136.97

Joe Flacco out-performs Aaron Rodgers in a game of sputtering offenses, giving snoopy a much-needed win over Berz. Both teams are now at the .500 mark -- as is over half the league at this point.
                              #
                              Calamitous Intent - 146.23
                              Hairball Express - 137.15

Guynemer's rag-tag starting group gave pretty consistent double-digit scoring (except for the 0.00 from Chambers) which, combined with a so-so Peyton Manning day, was enough to overcome Tuberski, who got a nice day from Matt Schaub but nothing from his all-Atlanta running attack.
                              #
                              Mountain Goats - 180.02
                              Teh Peeled Bananas - 133.26

Our blowout of the week, with Jaguar riding Drew Brees and consistent production throughout the offense to the week's high point total. EPW had inconsistent performances and a 20-point deficit at QB, but hangs onto 2nd place at 4-2.

It's NFL-style parity across the league, with 8 out of 12 teams at 3-3. Ben K missed a golden opportunity to put some distance between his team and the rest of the pack, while Jaguar took over the league scoring lead with his big week.
