I love how Jaguar felt the need to rush out and get Chad Pennington though there would never be a circumstance he would start him (or Matt Cassel for that matter) over Peyton Manning. I'm not mad I just don't get why you guys can't be honest about it

I just stock my roster with the most valuable players. Even if I'm not going to start them, ever, I want to play keepaway. MRT is starting Troy Smith. That makes me happy. Him starting Pennington would scare me a lot more.

I wasn't irrationally attached to Stafford. You offered me Holmes and Fitzpatrick. Holmes wasn't even going to make my roster. He's about 27 points behind Steve Breaston, and was even worse when you made the offer. Fitzpatrick, I thought, was far inferior value to Stafford. Stafford's injury changes things in hindsight, but realistically, the only thing I'd be doing with any of these players is hoarding, anyway.

But you seriously turned down Stafford for Holmes and Fitzpatrick? Man, what were you thinking? Stafford (who really really sucks by the way, regardless of what Sloww says) was riding pine on your team and so would Fitz but you would get Santonio Holmes for NOTHING! Come on, Jag, that's a leap at the opportunity moment!

Holmes is proven and Sanchez is throwing a lot more than anyone expected. That's a great stash and see opportunity!

As for Stafford, he was going to be awesome in the 2nd half of the season - except he got injured.

I've actually replaced him with Hill as my back up. Tempted by Cutler too, though I'm thinking he was just made to look good by the Bills D.
