Kurt Warner officially retires:
One of the great stories in recent NFL history. A guy gets plucked from Arena Football and has a few otherworldly years, including a SuperBowl win and a couple MVPs. Gets lost in the shuffle, but then comes back with another franchise and leads them to the SuperBowl, while having a couple amazing years.
Was a great guy as well from all reports.
Kurt, you'll be missed.

I used to hate Warner, but that was for two perfectly good reasons:
1. He and his wife are evangelical Christians and went through a period of working that fact into every interview, which always annoys me.
2. I picked him for fantasy football the year he went to the Giants. He was terrible that year -- lots of fumbles and INTs, low yardage and TDs.
But with 3 Super Bowl appearances, including a win -- especially getting the moribund Cardinals franchise there and damn near winning it -- Warner has had a pretty fine 12-year career. Hall of Famer for sure.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011
