Donovan goes on to slam the Washington Post for writing "relentlessly nasty", "hostile" articles, and it's "yellow journalism coverage" of the Redskins' business practices. Good stuff.

Chiefs release RB Larry Johnson.

Guess he won't get a chance to break the team's rushing record. The Chiefs may be giving Johnson what he wants, but the team is also avoiding a distraction down the stretch. Jamaal Charles and Kolby Smith will split the workload on a team that has struggled to create running yards, with Smith the more likely goal-line candidate.
