Hmm, disagree on that. Three more QBs going wouldn't hurt him that much (worst case = Jason Cambell), and Jackson brings him real value, esp. the first 3 weeks.

No offense Ben, but as you've said, this is your first time. You're more than welcome to accept or reject strategies as you see fit; but when doing for others, I don't think you should express quite so strong of feelings.

Backup QB, and RB, and WR, are all (in the general wisdom) much higher profile than IDP choices, except a few. IDP has a very low variation between players below the first tier, and a very large pool (there are 96 starting LBs, for example, filling 28 starting spots; there are 32 starting QBs, filling 14 spots, and with 14 backup spots, a poor backup QB is not easily replaced). It's the same reason why you don't pick a starting kicker until the final round - even after backup DL or what have you - because the 14th kicker is nearly identical to the 2nd kicker; and none of them score many points per game. You could start me at kicker and still win plenty of games; do the same at QB and you'd be up a creek.

edit: There are actually over 100 starting LBs, as there are plenty of 3-4 teams.

If you are going QB my vote would be for Pennington, who I'm very surprised hasn't already gone. Leaves more quality defenders
