It's hard getting a lawyer to make a controversial and definitive statement so sometimes you just have to make stuff up.

You justified the opinion of someone other than yourself and while I can't criticize you personally for using that rationale, I criticize anyone using the rationale you provided for putting them that high up.

As for the SEC, it is the best and toughest conference and BIG 12 is second best. All the others have (at best) one or two decent teams.

The ACC and Pac 10 both have several good teams. Only the Big Ten really fits this description...

You may be overstating the case for the ACC. It has Miami, maybe VaTech, and... ? GaTech is decent, depending on your definition of "decent", as is maybe UNC. I'd hardly call either of them good (Top 20-25 material). Miami might be the only very good team in the conference, though it is too early to say for sure.

They rotate who is good in the ACC every so often. Va Tech was good for a while, Miami also, GaTech can deliver great games but is inconsistent, Florida State once was great, UNC always seems to pop into the top 25 once a year.

EDIT: I'd like to amend my above statement of the ACC. Florida State is clearly better than either GaTech or UNC, might be better than VaTech. The ACC might have two or three good teams. Maybe two more decent teams.

Despite what you may think Ohio State is a good team, that borders on greatness at times. Definitely one of the top 6 teams of the decade. Penn State competes every few years, Michigan used to be consistently good, Michigan State is usually decent, and you have teams that float in and out of the top 25 like Illinois, Iowa, Purdue.
