    Come back and play Ben.

I want to hear about how bad Calgary's 3rd and 4th lines are compared to Vancouver more.

And how spectacularly awesome Vancouver's 1st and 2nd are in comparison.

to Ben for cowering in hiding after he realizes his team does suck.

        You heard it here first.
Sundin's effect so far on the Canucks: they're 0 and 3. He's got 1 point. And he's directly responsible for the two losses (dumb penalty late in the game leads to game-winning powerplay goal by the opposition).

I have had a few things keeping me busy (family issues).

but I did see the game.

Exactly why I was swearing at Sundin last game.

Ignoring the last several (pages?) of posts, the original topic of this thread was the potential for a stanley cup preview tomorrow (Feb 10) when the Sharks play the Bruins. Both teams are tops in their division, but who really thinks they will both be there in late June when it counts?

If you had asked me pre-season, I think I would have been surprised to see Boston in the playoffs, let alone with home ice advantage to the finals and actually playing in the finals, and I still think they will be upset at least a round or two before getting to the finals. I would have said at pre-season and still think that San Jose has a good chance to make the finals this year.

Should be an exciting finish to the season if the current standings are any indication, and these two should be interesting to watch, if for no other reason then to see if they can maintain their current pace until the regular season is over (and also to see what they shore up prior to the trade deadline).

The first 40 min was great hockey. I was up and down/ yelling at the tv for all the second period. Then it all fell apart. The Thornton goal off the skate was a killer though I can't fault Thomas for that one. The powerplay killed Boston, so many chances to get back in it but they couldn't cash anything in.
I think this is the first game all season that the Bruins have lost by 3 goals, so there goes that stat too. Still I'm pretty optimistic for the rest of the season. Seems like the offense has died down abit lately and they need to figure the powerplay out again, but they should keep up a decent pace in the standings.
I'd love to see a playoff series between the two, mostly because that means the Bruins would be in the finals. I think it'd be a pretty intense showdown though. But as they say, there is still alot of hockey left to be played yet.
