Cowboys punter Mat McBriar will be out anywhere from six weeks to two months with a broken right foot, according to Matt Mosley of ESPN.com.

Dan Orlovsky's unkindest clip become popular real fast

Well, if his goal was to get on YouTube, the Lions' Dan Orlovsky did it.

By Monday evening, his safety dance at Minnesota -- when he wandered aimlessly out of the back of the end zone -- had gotten nearly 30,000 views. [Almost 58.7K now.]

The clip is titled "Dumbest QB Ever."

Elsewhere, Peter King of SI.com called it "one of the most idiotic single plays I've ever seen in 25 seasons covering the NFL. ... Alarmingly foolish, the kind of anti-basic-instinct play that makes you wonder whether the guy has any chance to be a professional quarterback."

That doesn't mean he can't be a Lions quarterback.

Speaking of the Boyz...

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that the Cowboys have acquired Roy Williams from the Lions for a first, third, and sixth-round draft pick.

Because the one thing they are missing is a diva wide receiver with an expiring contract. That is a huge bounty for Detroit, especially when no one else wanted Williams. The move smacks of desperation on the heels of an ugly weekend in Dallas, but Williams helps Brad Johnson's chances for short-term success. Still, there are only so many targets to go around.

And of course...

The NFL has suspended Cowboys CB Adam Jones indefinitely for violating the personal conduct policy. Jones will miss at least four games.

Commissioner Goodell will evaluate Jones' situation again after Week 11. If Jones stays out of the news, it sounds like he'll be reinstated. But ESPN's Ed Werder cites sources inside Dallas that say Jones may not have a place on the team when he returns because of a combination of his average play and his potential distraction. That remains to be seen, but the Cowboys now get a draft pick back from Tennessee because of the terms of their trade.

Probably 12. But IMHO, the 6 he played should be it.

But it's no great loss, even with T. Newman being hurt. By all reports, he hasn't played all that well anyway. And the Dallas D -- which I thought would rock this year -- has been pretty user-friendly.
