Ian LaPerriere may be one of my favourite players now.

He got into a fight with Zack Stortini yesterday (which the blogophere refers to as "Huggy Bear" for his fighting technique where he bear hugs players). And LaPerriere hilariously mocked him on the way to the box last night:

Anyone have the link to the website where they attempt to predict the goalies for upcoming games? I am worried I am going to not be able to make my 3 game minimums and may lose out on Shutouts (among other stats) due to the games on Saturday night and none on Sunday. Not a lot of room for error

Saturday's a crapshoot unless your usual two starters are head and shoulders above a third player you may have at any position. No doubt some people are going to leave alot of points on the bench - I just hope I'm not one of them.

One of the things that bothers me about Yahoo is how long they take to update injury status... Gaborik is on the IR, but he's still listed as DTD on the fantasy site.

I think that ihas been updated now for gaborik--- He shows with a little red IR on the yahoo site now . . . But I agree it can be very frustrating-- Its bad enough having one of your players knocked out but when they are too good to drop, its doubly aggravating. I am wondering when Briere's status will change. After all he needs abdominal surgery and will be out at least a month.

Your tally is the same as mine with respect to the stats shown at Yahoo with one correction. My 4-3-1 match against the Boos will actually be a 5-2-1 in my favor as according to yahoo, the Boos only got two goalie games in (apparently Huet sat in favor of 'bulin this week) . I checked and all the other teams had the required goalie games so there will be only the one change for this reason.

If I miss the playoffs again this year the goalies will be the reason. Would be nice to get a real starter...

They are tough to find. It is here that you really see the difference when we have 14 managers/teams versus the 12 of last year. I know I wouldn't even consider trading away a keeper because if my other one got hurt I might have weeks and weeks where it is a struggle to find goalie games. Last year it seemed MUCH easier

How about them Flames-- back to a decent record, and more importantly, fully deserving of their recent wins.

Kipper was good/very good in the last few and the team actually played better team defence (plus Iggy showing up on the scoring side of things)

So the Flames drop two to BOTH the Oil and 'Nucks yet are right with them in the standings.

I am hoping that the recent play is what we can expect for the future but thsi team has been so wildly inconsistent . . ..
