Thankfully (and ironically) the computers are there to save the idiot pollsters from themselves.
What's even more arbitrary is to say that in a three way tie, one head to head game is all knowing. If they played 10 times, then perhaps head to head would be ok to use... but they didn't.

Who better than to ask the gamblers. They know more.

You can like the computers for another week then. Because I've read that if Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State, OU will likely jump up in the computer rankings.

        Drugs in your system.

Although, should it come to pass, that's yet another Big 12 team.

        • A weird theoretical, if OU and Texas were to finish 1-2 and Tech is #3 and conference champion, then tech would get a 3rd bid for the Big 12.

Won't happen, but it is possible to get 3 teams in.

          ACK!

I feel sorry for the kicker, but proud of my Mustangs.

It would never end up that way. Ever. Pollsters would make sure another conference team finished #2. As they made sure Michigan would finish #3 a few years back.

Oh, and the fact that this year, OU would have to lose against OSU to have Texas Tech play for the Conference Championship . I'd have to think in that case OU wouldn't even be in the Top 5.

                    I was at The Game.

For the most part, both teams were comically inept, but Yale was more so. Harvard 10, Yale 0. It was freezing cold, to the point that people in the stands were basically bundling together for warmth inside blankets and stuff.

Yale's offense was horrid and couldn't do anything. Their blitz protection literally was nonexistent, and their run plays were predictable, as usual. Harvard's offense was stopped pretty soundly too, but it made three or four decent drives.

The most amusing thing was watching the atrocious special teams play, starting with the opening kickoff, where the two Harvard return men ran into each other and fell down. The special teams units finished with three missed field goals, two muffed returns, one eight-yard punt, and a partridge in a pear tree.

It wasn't the best of games.

                          • Nebraska tried a fake FG, where the kicker swings out to the right, and the holder flips the ball over his head to him. But it got picked off and returned for a TD. Tied at 24 with Colorado at the half.

LSU got out to a slow start, got behind 14-3 to Ark, but they got rolling and led 30-14. Ark scored on a big pass play to get to 30-21, tried an onside kick, which they almost recovered. LSU went 3-and-out.
