That's 9 in, need 1 more for a full ESPN auction league (in which case that's what we'll do).

We could certainly have a 'filler', but someone would have to actually bid for the filler, which would be complicated. I could ask Jaguar to do that, but he doesn't know hockey at all as far as I know.

IF we have 9 teams I would hope that we could get a 10th team somehow (even a filler "set-roster team" is better than a bye week) -- So here's hoping number 10 shows up


Oh and did we settle on a time for the draft--ie the quoted one--is that set now?. The 14th is good but we will now have a family activity at some point on that day-- If I was certain of the draft time I could influence the family thing and avoid a schedule conflict

11AM EDT to around 2pm EDT is the draft time, set in stoneish. I hope it will not last 3 hours, but I prefer to be pessimistic in the plan than have people leave without having a complete team.

Jaguar doesn't seem interested, apparently he thinks picking hockey players by how cute they are is a bad way to draft.

I got in 2nd by drafting with that is the criteria in one league last year. Mind you, the other 13 teams were female managed...

They were picking based on performance.

I was subbing for my friend Leanne who ditched me with drafting in a girly league at the last minute. As revenge, I only drafted cute players. It worked.

Snoopy-- To do this draft at ESPN or wherever do we need to sign up and create accounts there or something?-- I just want to ensure that I do whatever needs to be donme ahead of time.

Really? I find it slow from work but generally functional-- It was just the last two days I found I could hardly get in here

Also once the auction part is done, does it work similar to yahoo with respect to how we set lineups, waivers, trades-- Are thee any key differences ?

I've never used ESPN, but probably. I don't think there would be any significant differences (except in the physical execution i'm sure it's different, but the concept should be the same).
