In an auction how do they decide what order the players come up for bid? -- Do people each take a turn suggesting the player to be bid on or for the first few rounds do you just use some list or ranking from the website-- I'm assuming it is usual to have the best players be auctioned first

The bids come up in order just like the draft- randomize the managers, then each manager puts one player up to bid in that random order (taking turns).

Usually the best players are not put first directly, but usually better players go earlier. A lot of strategy is in putting up players at certain points (often putting up players you don't want early, so that others spend their money on those players, and then your players come up later on when you have a money advantage).

Sept 14 6pm EDT (5pm CDT) - Flubber, Asher, Guynemer, Snoopy, ...

That is the time unless there is a significant reason to change it (14th is much better for me).

makes sense-- Doing it that way, you need to remain very aware of who is top level and has not bee put forth yet-- otherwise someone could get a real bargain

Do the online tools you can use allow you to electronically track the rosters and remaining cash for each manager or is that something we need to be doing ourselves as we go

Just a few posts ago I'd mentioned I'm busy Sundays after 6pm...

For the timing on a Sunday, the morning is best, but mid afternoon (say... after 2-3pm) and evening works too.

I'm busy from 2pm-4pm CDT Sundays this month ... we can do it at 10am CDT, are people available then?

If we do it on ESPN, it tracks everything for us. Otherwise, someone needs a spreadsheet (that would be me) though of course usually most players keep track independently...

10am (11am yours) works fine for me, if it works for everyone else. Otherwise we can do 5pm EDT (4pm CDT). (You are in daylight time, right?)
