Seriously if I was picking just to try and catch Ming I'd probably go with NY over GB because I woudl assume heis picking GB bu I, like others vowed to make their best picks and not be swayed by others. So in that case I will take:
If you allow half points you'd have to allow quarter points too.

Because 1/2 point spreads allow you to strattle 2 good options. Neutral gamblers (i.e. Bookmakers) use 1/2 point spreads all the time on the over/under which is a total points bet.
Another good reason is because it doubles the number of "Total Points Options" thus making it twice as unlikely for a tie.
If we are PM'ing total points (assuming Ming hasn't already locked it up) allowing 1/2 points doesn't give anyone any sort of unfair advantage. It just doubles the number of options.
It looks good as far as I can remember in a prompted manner, which is 10 digits. I never was that much of a math geek (although I was the leader of our math competition team; I did the binary/base n math and the quick calculations, the powers, the logarithms, and the polynomials, and others did things like the memorization of pi...)

Well... it's going to be cold in GB... VERY cold... and the last time they played in cold weather this year (no, last week was snowy, not cold) they played like absolute crap. However, the weather that day also had winds gusting up to 40 mph. Not happing in GB today. The favorites win.
Nice job of everyone coming together to come up with a solution.
With that in mind, here is how it will work:
Exactly like the rule already states. By Super Bowl start, either post your pick or PM it to me. Also, give the total number of points scored in the game. No half points of quater points or pi... seeing as it is impossible to score anything but whole points, that is all that will be allowed.
While it still is not required to PM me picks and point totals, I really would prefer at least one or the other be PMed from each of you for the sake of compitition. If your worried about post count , you can always come back here and post 'sent'.
BTW, Ming can confirm that I have not opened his PM picks yet. That PM tracking is VERY useful.
One last thing: Where does the road to the NFC Super Bowl go through? The NFC NORTH, baby!
