Make a double tiebreak for the SB.

First tiebreak is the total points.

Second tiebreak is the point distribution between the teams.

Say Ming and Berz both pick 40 points, but Ming says the score will be 25-15, and Berz says the score will be 22-18.

If the score is 40 points but turns out to be 40-0, then Ming will win.

I think picking the winner of the SB should count for more than the distribution (and is an element of that, given you have to have the right set anyway).

Well, I don't think it's likely that there will be a tie with someone who gets both right this week and messes up on the Superbowl, and ties with people who get one right and the superbowl.

The only way this happens is if Ming misses 2 of 3. He'd have to get one right this week, and blow the other game and the superbowl to make this a possibility.

Followed by total number of rushing yards.

That would make a tie much less likely

If Ming gets both right and I get both right, then he picks the SB wrong and I pick it right, then this exact occurence happens...

I actually don't mind the points being before winner... after all, we otherwise might as well give 1.5 points for the last round. I just think it's a good tiebreaker for points being the same (if that actually happens).

I don't like rushing yards because that's practically random. Points is mostly random, but less so than rushing yards ...

Why not go with what we agreed on in the beginning and in the extremely unlikely case of a tie there would be co-champions.

While I see a tie as much more likely than you do, I like this idea... however, the problem is that most are making their post public on this thread. Perhaps, in the name of compition, point totals for the SB could be PMed to me so there is some confidentiality involved and not merely "Well, so-and-so picked 42... I'll go 43 so that anything higher and I beat him!".
