I never said +/- was vital to winning the league, I said it was an important stat. McCabe's expected contribution to PPG, PPA, G, A were to make up for it.

You know, I drafted with plus/minuis being a secondary consideration except I did avoid most of the players that had or wee expected to have really bad ones. So far, my team has been up and down on that stat with very little consistencyOriginally posted by Asher

And I tried to ignore it completely, picking my players more for point scoring abilities and expected power play time then anything with +/-. Last year I tried drafting mainly from the top level teams, and did well, perhaps I should have done the same thing this year??
Oh well, time will tell.
