Ah but it seems that one really really good one is all you need most weeks

I have been pleased with portions of my team and have discarded other portions

If only San Jose can come around and start winning for Nabokov--With their offensive talent I am amazed how many times they get held to a single goal

He has both hands on his stick, and the stick is at the base of Hemsky's helmet.

Regehr has had many years of play and is not a "dirty' player. But he does hit hard and he does cross-check just as much as the average d-man out there.

Take a look at the video you posted-- the view with about 14 seconds left in it-- it appears that the impact point is high across hemsky's shoulders-- In the other angles you can see that Regehr's right hand was against the shoulder and holding the stick

I do not believe the stick impacted the helmet

I was curious-- does anyone keep track at all of the best weeks on any of the stats. Plus 17 seems pretty good but I could envision higher. Last week I had 24 assists-- how much higher has anyone gone. Anyone remember an exceptional number of shutouts and whats the highest save percentage you recall?

Yes, take a look at it. It was clearer on a big screen during the broadcast, but you can see what happened in the youtube clip and shoulders ain't it.

Base of the helmet, Flubber. Back of the head or on the neck of a player leaning forward into the boards and Regher propels him into those boards with a foul. Exactly the sort of hit that could seriously maim someone.

              • Yes, notyoueither, it was clearer in 1920x1080 resolution that I saw it in. Even in that picture there (which is clearly in a followthrough), you'll see that Hemsky's got his head way low in any case, so if there was any contact (and as Flubbs said, it hit the name on the back), it's cause Hemsky's assuming the position more than anything else.

If you're expecting suspensions for accidental contact into the boards, you're crazy. You're not going to get a thing. At best, Regehr will get a fine. I don't think anything will come from it at all, though -- nor should it.

This isn't the first time Hemsky's had trouble skating and ploughed into the boards. This time he did it at the wrong time.

In a lot of ways, Torres' hit on Moss was worse because Moss and Torres weren't anywhere near the puck and Moss had no way of seeing Torres blindside him with a hit to the head. His "I can't see what's infront of me" excuse was classy as well, particularly given that he's got a history of this exact hit. Moss was also more injured than Hemsky was as a result.

And non of them are "hardcore" Christians?? I hadn't read the religious summary of the various players in the league, nor was I aware it was available

                    • Al Macinnis

MacInnis has the distinction of playing in two of the three games featuring the largest third-period comeback in NHL history. On January 26, 1987, the Calgary Flames came back from a 5-0 deficit in the third period to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-5 in overtime. MacInnis scored a hat trick in the third period. Nearly 14 years later, on November 29, 2000, the St. Louis Blues came back from a 5-0 deficit to defeat the Leafs 6-5 in overtime again; MacInnis played another key role by recording a power-play goal in the third period.

                      • Looks like there will be no suspension, nor any fine, nor any media coverage for the Regehr/Hemsky situation. Looks like common sense prevailed.

Nude photos of him have appeared online *cough*. He's dispatched a lawyer to bring them all down...

But there's still some "G" rated photos that hint at something...
