t was frustrating for McCabe, whose gaffe — combined with his attempt that was denied by Price — prevented the Leafs (7-7-5) from going home with two points.

To recap, McCabe gives away the puck in overtime such that an opposing defenceman has a 150 foot breakaway.

Or is it that it is just getting too repetitive to keep hammering away at this?

I was just looking at the NHL standings and wow,parity reigns out there-- There are a few teams per conference with excellent records and then its a whole lot of mediocrity-- Buffalo and Pittsburgh are both 3 games under .500 for example.

In the West, San Jose finds themselves a division leader and also legitimately tied for third in points in the conference with a 9-7-2 record. But they are also 1 point ahead of the team in 8th in the conference

I know its still "early" but we are now just a couple of games shy from quarter-way through the season . Do you think we will see this mass of teams throughout the year? I know that its tough to totally discount any team from making the playoffs

Its unfortunate. Even if you are some start hockey player, you should be able to be a stupid teen sometimes and not have it splashed all over cyverspace.

While I like the net for a lot of things, there is a part of me that wishes there was a way to let people have a bit more privacy. But then again I often wish that poparazzi could be eliminated from the face of the earth. Do people really need another photo of some celebrity walking to their car?

Amen to that, if not for the money and fame I might actually consider turning it all down because of the poparazzi.

No one should have to deal with that. I intentially avoid the magazines and talk shows in my own private boycott because i think it is unfair to celebrities (sports or otherwise) to be forced to deal with them.

And then there's Gill, who still hasn't learned that, no, you can't glove the puck, and it's really a stupid friggen move when you're already killing a penalty. Gill goes to the box, leaving the Leafs two short and Montreal scores.

Meanwhile, at the other end, the Montreal defense was nonexistent. Markov was playing sleezy and paid the price. The only thing that kept Montreal in the game was Price.
