Don't bother. You'll never get a valid one. It'll be something like Texas Tech is really good or something, even though you were pointing out the OOC schedule.

What? Nothing about Wisconsin's #1 RB and #1 WR not playing? Nor anything about their #2 RB getting injured and out of the game in the 3rd quarter? Or how the Badgers played almost the entire 4th quater with their backup QB also?
What about the fabulous play of Ikegwuonu, who shut down Manningham (Yes Maningham had the 97 yard TD, but Ikegwuonu was in a flat zone on that play and release him to the safety who then blew the play)?
If your gunna tell the story, tell the whole story.
Go Badgers!
Meh. I'm not a reporter. And obviously WI missed their injured players much less than U-M missed theirs. I don't know how much better Hart would have done, but if Mallett got them within 2, a healthy Henne probably could have won it (less INTs and more completions would have helped).
Isn't their TE the #1 receiver? So what if the #1 WR is missing. And Hubbard had 7 catches for 107. You're exaggerating about the backup - going by the play-by-play, Donovan was still in with around 6:00 left (I can't tell if he was in after that, as all WI did was run the ball - but then, that's all they needed to do).
Ikegwuonu played well, but more importantly WI dominated the LOS on both sides of the ball. They ran the ball, U-M couldn't. They had time to pass, U-M didn't. Mallett was only 11-36, got sacked 5 times.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: LSU v. Oregon
ROSE BOWL: Ohio State v. Arizona State
ORANGE BOWL: Virginia Tech v. Oklahoma
FIESTA BOWL: Kansas v. West Virginia
SUGAR BOWL: Georgia v. Virginia
- LSU & Oregon are #1 & #2.
- Ohio State, Virginia Tech & Kansas get plugged in according to traditional conference ties.
- The Sugar takes Georgia first to maintain its traditional SEC association.
- The Rose takes Arizona State to maintain its traditional Pac-10/Big Ten matchup.
- Final allotment order is Orange, Fiesta, Sugar.
- Orange takes best team left (Oklahoma).
- Fiesta takes best available team left (West Virginia; Missouri cannot be taken since it would exceed the two-team-per-conference limit).
- Sugar takes best available team left (Virginia; USC, Florida, & Texas cannot be taken since it would exceed the two-team-per-conference limit).
- Hawaii does not get an auto-bid since it did not finish ahead of any BCS conference champions in the rankings.
Looks like a lot of teams are going to be pissed off because of the rule that limits a conference to two teams, if this week's projections are any indication. (For the record, that's #5 and #11-13 that get squeezed out.)

I guess that mean Hawai'i is cheering for the Wolverines this weekend ... since then they'd probably finish ahead of them (UM) in the rankings, and thus get an auto bid. Interestingly, I wonder if a UM win (especially a solid UM win) would squeeze OSU out of a BCS game entirely (say, if the Illini were to get in instead)?

Realistically, the Big Ten will probably only get one team in this year (whoever wins the Big Game). A second straight Ohio State loss probably drops them out of the top 14 and out of BCS at-large eligibility, while Illinois probably has too much ground to make up to get into the top 14 (and even then would have to hope for something like the situation that got Virginia into the projections this week).
At the end of the day, assuming they run the table, I think Hawaii will probably get to that 12th spot and get in. Keep in mind that they get a visit from Boise State (currently only two spots below them) last week of the season; that'll be a huge boost to whoever wins (but more so for Hawaii given what Boise did last year).

Oregon will not be in the National Championship game.
Write it down.

I didn't say for the season, just 2-9 at some point
3-9, then. I was hedging earlier with 3-8 anyhow, 3-9 is a nice compromise
Wow. 3-9 is looking optimistic now.
