No, they didn't. Illinois lost to Michigan, as well as Iowa. The Big Game is not meaningless; whoever wins it is the Big Ten champion. It's easy to justify Illinois as the second choice out of the Big Ten over Ohio State if Michigan wins, though.

I hope Henne can play vs OSU. He started, but didn't last long, his shoulder injury put him on the bench for the rest of the game. Mallett did a decent job with 3 TDs, but also showed signs of being a frosh on the road in a tough WI stadium. His 2 INTs plus Henne's 1 made it too tough to come back all the way. They got within 2 in the 4th, but the D didn't stop WI enough.
Hart didn't play at all. Hope he's healthy, too, for OSU.
I'm also shocked that the Spartans got a win after a disappointing loss. On the road, yet.

Um, -Jrabbit, in addition to mistakening saying Illinois beat Michigan, you may want to hold off posting a top ten while several top teams are only in the first quarter of their games this week...

Sorry, Guy, I was understandably excited. But they did beat Wisconsin and Penn State. If not for the loss at Iowa, they would be legit top 10 material.
You can ignore my top 10. I don't really have the NCAA knowledge to produce a serious list.

Have there ever been no undefeated teams in D1? Although it looks like Kansas probably will be, still ... has that ever happened? Seems like there's always been one...

What? Nothing about Wisconsin's #1 RB and #1 WR not playing? Nor anything about their #2 RB getting injured and out of the game in the 3rd quarter? Or how the Badgers played almost the entire 4th quater with their backup QB also?
What about the fabulous play of Ikegwuonu, who shut down Manningham (Yes Maningham had the 97 yard TD, but Ikegwuonu was in a flat zone on that play and release him to the safety who then blew the play)?
If your gunna tell the story, tell the whole story.
Oh, no doubt, the Badgers flat out whooped Michigan.
As I said last week, I've been taking every win as a gift from God, considering neither Henne nor Hart have been close to 100% all season. It was gonna catch up to Michigan eventually, and Wisconsin was far more than good enough to take advantage.

And there have been many, many seasons where there were no undefeated teams.
The most recent one that springs to mind is the split national title between 1-loss USC and LSU. (Though there may have been a minor conference team that went unbeaten, I can't swear that there wasn't.)

This phrase annoys me for some reason, but it appears that there are four teams that "control their own destiny" when it comes to the BCS Championship Game:
LSU
Oklahoma
Missouri
Kansas
If LSU wins out, they will undoubtedly be #1. The Big 12 Champ is a virutal lock for #2, assuming said champ doesn't drop a game in the meantime. Oregon and West Virginia are jolly well ****ed. And no one else has a prayer.
Remaining schedules:
#2 LSU: at Ole Miss, vs. Arkansas, SEC Championship (vs. Georgia or Tennessee, probably)
#3 Oregon: at Arizona, at UCLA, vs. Oregon State
#4 Kansas: vs. Iowa State, vs. Missouri, Big 12 Championship (vs. Oklahoma, probably)
#5 Oklahoma: at Texas Tech, vs. Oklahoma State, Big 12 Championship (vs. winner of Kansas-Missouri)
#6 Missouri: at Kansas State, vs. Kansas, Big 12 Championship (vs. Oklahoma, probably)
#7 West Virginia: at Cincinnati, vs. Connecticut, vs. Pittsburgh
Also of note, with Michigan, Connecticut, and Boston College all taking a loss, the WAC champ now has an excellent chance of making a BCS bowl game, even if Boise State beats Hawai'i.

Golly gosh gee whiz. Three Big 12 and an SEC.
Go figure, huh?

And the cold facts are, Oregon would be 6-4 if they were in the Big 12, at best.
