It's still "one game at a time"... we need to take care of business against the Vikequeens at home this week.

The Bears kept their turnovers to a minimal this week, and they need to continue doing that. It's a lot easier on the defense when they don't have to be continually on the field.
    Keep on Civin'

We need a seperate Bears thread, or just rename this thread "Are You Ready For Some Bears, Crappy, Boring, Football?"

I'm going to post after every play in the Dallas game tonight......... after I get home to see it anyway.

      ACK!
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!

Bears football is never boring. Crappy yes, but never boring. You never know when a turnover will occur

I wonder what the turnovers per game (total, for both sides) compared to average is for Bears games ... I suspect it is quite high

All NFL posters are welcome. It's much more fun to watch that way.

It appears Sloww took Sunday off this week, though I expect he'll be around during tonight's Jauron-flogging.

my man crush is on Peyton Manning. I've always liked Favre though. He just does the QB'ing in a more macho manner, where Manning is more intellectual in his approach.

                Delhomme to have elbow surgery

Panthers quarterback to miss remainder of season

                Posted: Monday October 8, 2007 1:18PM; Updated: Monday October 8, 2007 4:42PM

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Jake Delhomme last week called surgery on his strained right elbow "a last resort."

After experiencing pain trying to throw on Monday, the Carolina Panthers quarterback decided the worst-case scenario couldn't be avoided.

Delhomme will have season-ending ligament-replacement surgery on his elbow next week, leaving the Panthers without their leader on offense and scrambling to find another quarterback.

"Anytime you lose your starting quarterback it's a blow," coach John Fox said.

Originally injured two weeks ago, Delhomme didn't show any improvement when trying to throw Monday. A day earlier he threw briefly on the side while sitting out Carolina's win over the Saints.

"I think (Sunday) he was just trying to see how it felt," Fox said. "Today he really pushed it and experienced some of the same discomfort he had during the Atlanta game."

Fox said Delhomme is expected to recover in time for the start of next season. Delhomme left Bank of America Stadium on Monday without speaking to reporters.

The Panthers are left in a precarious position, as Delhomme's backup, David Carr, is also banged up.

Carr, signed in the offseason after being a five-year starter in Houston, sustained a back injury against the Saints and his status for Sunday's game at Arizona is uncertain.

"David is definitely sore," Fox said. "He's still being evaluated."

The only other QB on the roster is undrafted rookie Matt Moore, who completed a 43-yard pass against the Saints while briefly subbing for Carr in the first half. Quinton Porter was signed two weeks ago to the practice squad.

"We obviously know we're going to be doing something," Fox said. "But what that is hasn't been hashed out yet."
