I fully admit I have a mancrush on Brett Favre. He plays football the way I'd love for every player to play it.

The more I watch the Bears, the more convinced I am that the core problem on offense isn't the QB selection, it isn't Benson, and it isn't the play-calling. While all those things (plus a high number of dropped passes) are contributing factors, the core problem is that the Chicago offensive line simply isn't very good.

Their pass protection is pathetic and they can't run-block. I don't care who is at the skill positions, I don't care what scheme is being run -- if you can't block, you won't succeed.

Last year they were experienced. This year, they just look old.

Great defense for the Bears... They gave up 300+ yards... IN THE FIRST HALF!

In other N F L news, Travis Johnson from Houston got the worst person award for taunting Trent Green, QB for Miami who was knocked out while trying to block him.

He taunted and then even after apparently ann injury had taken place, continued the tirade to the reporters post game

I have been saying the problem with the O is the line for the past three weeks (ok, not on these boards, but at work). They are old... and injured. They are playing without probowler John Tait and KGB is eating St.Clair up.

The defense just looks whipped tonight. No pressure on Favre, and the Packers are running at will. The front seven just didn't come to play.

They don't look like a team who's season is on the line.

After a couple years of relentless effort, this is pretty hard to watch.

That's because, except for the fact that his knee knocked Green out, Green wiped him out with a good QB-standard, block.

                      ACK!

And now it gets close... and Favre's antics catch up to him and the Bears capitalize.

turnovers are going to kill the Pack tonight.

                              Penalties aren't helping either.
