While I generally agree on shorthanded goals affecting plus/minus, I have never believed that an empty net goal should count. Some of those are rink long shots --

But then again, plus minus can always be a very unfair stat in that any one on the ice can be impacted by a single teammates brilliant or idiotic play. I guess the idea is that it evens out

I actually didn't word the comment very well. What I meant to say was that I understand why shorthanded goals should inpact plus/minus (and agree it makes sense that it does) there is just something about empty-netters ( shorthanded or even strength) that seem different to me.

Ya--- when I checked this MORNING nothing had been updated. But I could eyeball it to see that I have gone from leading in two categories to now being tied in those two and trailing in +/- (dang Kunitz ) AS for Bertuzzi and Ryan -- would have KILLED one of you guys to be standing on the ice when a goal got scored ??

Check StatTracker. It updates in realtime (it's free for a while still, then it's $10 I think for the season).

But I think the NHL & Yahoo still have quirks in their feeds.

For this game, I just listended on the radio while doing other things.

For the stats I just checked the scoresheet at nhl.com . It appeared to be complete

I think Yahoo is screwing me out of Perry's 2G and A from the 2nd London game. The points aren't showing up on my team or on the matchup page.
