ya-- I looked and my team included Phaneuf with a plus 66 or something so my failure to field a team by the deadline cost me points-- Its ok -- I thought another pool might have been fun but the little bit of stuff I looked at in that one didn't really catch my interest -- I am finding that our 12 player poly head-to-head is very interesting to me --

nah, you're up 3-2 with Goals, Wins, and SAV%, and probably will get a shutout also. I need 2 more goals to tie that, and either a PPG or a PPA, or to get a shutout while you don't, or to get two wins (looks like i'll get 1 but not 2) while you get 1 less win than I do (looks like you've got 2 in the books)...

In one of my other leagues, I benched Kolzig for Brodeur...Kolzig got a shutout, Brodeur warmed a bench.

Why do you necessarily think there would be an issue. If he gives Iggy, for instance, 23-24 minutes including first line PP and there is no/little production over a number of games, any coach would and should try something else. Its all well and good to cite Iggy's slow start but there comes a time when you decide to put out the guys playing the best RIGHT NOW . . . If that results in wins, I can't see Iggy complaining . . . and the reality is that the Flames are not super deep in offensive talent so an Iggy will always get a fair bit of ice to prove himself

Although iron MIke does have a definite "style" about him, I suspect some of his tendencies have gotten overblown in the re-telling-- I suspect he will be just fine--

But this season will tell a lot about the Flames-- Last year were they a bunch of underachivers or were estimates of the talent of team a bit too high?

I see the ingredients for a pretty solid hockey club there-- If Iron Mike is a "good coach" he should be able to get enough from his team that the early season and road ghosts from last year quickly dissapate

Isn't the problem with Keenan that he creates conflict with his big name players if things aren't going well?

It goes beyond assigning ice time or pulling a goalie. With Keenan it gets real personal real quick, or it has in the past.

I think you should spend less time worrying about Keenan or trying to create upset when there is none.

If Keenan screws up players on the Flames, then we can discuss it. Until then, it's pointless to speculate based upon hearsay. By most accounts, Keenan has mellowed since his youth.
