Too bad I don't have a clip of this one free-kick goal in this weekend's Belgian competition. It was a crucial game for a certain team, who had to win it if they wouldn't want to get relegated. So a few minutes before the end the score is 2-2 and they still have every chance to save themselves. They get the free kick against right on the edge of the penalty box diametrically opposed to the goal. The goalkeeper tries to organize a wall with only 5 men, the wall moves several meter to the right, several meters to the left, or has a gaping hole of a meter of 2 in the middle before the ref whistles. The free kick kicker taker scores, happily making using of all the free space to the left and the right of that tiny wall. The goalkeeper is absolutely in fury, jumps up and down and falls over. The team is relegated. See, that's the problem with football in your country. Elsewhere it's a grass-roots movement. Teams started out with a "grass" field and from there on they grew, building stands and entire stadiums to cope with increasing audiences.
