I think 5+20 was a horrible mistake, not by judge but but Bergenheim. He was going in for the late hit, I don't think he tried knee on knee, but it's just what happened. So that goes as a mistake in my books, even though the call for the late hit was not very good IMO.

The Koivu penalty was just stupid. It seemed to me he was pissed off and that's why he hit from the back. That was just useless. Other than that, I think it was all good, Ruutu gave a nice hit at the end of the period.

But it seems to me they want to play hard, kind of take the initiative and throw hard hits, get Russians off the ball, but they have to be careful with these late hits, because it'll just get us more PK chance to die. We don't need to play PK.... 5 on 5, I don't think we're in trouble at all, so let's keep it that way.

Consindering that our top sniper of the tournament has been already knocked out by the Swedes, and that you later injured our captain Schastlivy - you did your best to kill us.

Shame on you Finland.

When you play like that - you have no chance to win the gold.

What's bad sportsmanship is throwing a wild accusation like that - that a national team would conspire to injure a player on another team.

Well, regardless, I hope Markov heals fast, it sucks to injure oneself in a tournament like this, secondary to your career. I accept that the hit was dirty, useless and stupid, but I still think it wasn't meant like that. And that's not why Russia lost the game. Everything was called on both sides or not called.

Russia lost because they got a bit bad luck in the overtime and weren't fighting enough in the last situation. In my eyes, the goalies again decided this game, we have perhaps the best one in this tournament and when you're going on overtime or penalty shots, that's what you need.

First two periods, pretty even, third period Russia got a strong hold on us and generated the only scoring chances that went unanswered in this game, but even then, most of them were outside the best scoring zone. But they still played well and strong, we needed our goalie hot tonight.

That's my opinion anyway.

Why Russia lost, what was said above plus I think the situation with Morozov had a big effect. That line up was good, I think it was the best line up up to this point, and Malkin's one was second best. Definitely the best PP line up anyway, so, when that was out, it seemed to me they werent' able to pick it up, except for Malkin, who was maybe the best player in this tournament. But it doesn't matter so much when Nikulin(?) wasn't fighting enough in the corner on overtime and the goalie made a brutal mistake.
