Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety. - Ben Franklin

I love it when Kiper has 3 guys listed at the position and someone else gets drafted. Someone whose name Kiper hasn't mentioned all day. Weird that Philly took a QB there.
Trades galore at the top of Round 2. Bears have traded theirs (#37) to San Diego. I really wanted to see them grab Leonard, the RB/FB from Rutgers. Bears next pick is now #62...Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

I'm shocked to see Atlanta with 3 picks in the top 41 -- and none of them is a WR. Good picks, but I figured they were a lock to grab a fresh target for Vick -- like a Dwayne Jarrett, who's still sitting there.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

SWEET!
The Bears traditionally do great things with their mid round picks, and now they have a ton of them.
And a pick next year is just frosting on the cake.
San Diego gave up WAY TOO MUCH. YEAH BABY!Keep on Civin'

Still got my fingers crossed that we'll work out a deal for CJ. Adams, Brian Kelly, and a second-day pick this year (or a first-day pick next year) sounds about right...
Should there be no deal though, I'm satisfied with Adams.CGN | a bunch of incoherent nonsense

Smart move by Lions. Got rid of deadweight, including M. Williams big contract.
I really don't think the Lions are going to trade Calvin. Not now.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

Cowboys did well. Next year they should have a smoking draft.
THIS year, Browns smoke in 1st.Last edited by SlowwHand; April 28, 2007, 21:28.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Yeah, getting Joe Thomas PLUS Brady Quinn is pretty impressive. Quinn dropping to #22 was very surprising -- I was sure the Dolphins would grab him.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

Bears draft (day 1):
1 31(31) Greg Olsen TE MIAMI (FLA.)
2 30(62) Dan Bazuin DE CENTRAL MICHIGAN
3 30(93) Garrett Wolfe RB NORTHERN ILLINOIS
3 31(94) Michael Okwo OLB STANFORD
I'm very intrigued by both of those 3rd rounders - both small but smart guys. Either could be an effective special teams player, and who knows - Wolfe is not as small as some very effective RBs of the recent past<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.
