    Maybe Calgary will end up getting in and upsetting the #1 seed and get to the Finals like Edmonton did (being the team that got in due to OT losses last year). Then Tampa Bay can get to the Finals as the team from the East and we can have another suckfest Finals like last year.

        Colorado. The Flames need a win or an Avs regulation loss.

        If tied in points, most wins is the first tie-breaker and head to head is second. The Avs would win the tie-breaker.

            Such a list would be pointless because the entire league is a suckfest right now. Hockey is not one of the major sports anymore. It's behind women's golf in terms of mainstream media coverage.

            Sure, behind the maple curtain everyone is probably walking around in Flames/Leafs/Oilers/etc jerseys on game days... but you are Canada... nobody cares about you.

            Sorry... I know you guys are a very proud people. I see the Canadian flag on all the corporate logos on the commercials (I still don't understand that). I guess companies feel the need to appeal to Canadian nationalism. Honestly, it's worse than the displays of the American flag I see in my country.

            This seems to be about more than just hockey. But I don't want to get into that.

            My original point remains. As the NHL season comes to a close, it's just another suckfest... regardless of who gets in. And you're right, I've ignored the season only to make these comments at the end. I can't bear to pay attention to the NHL anymore. I have better things to do.

                Sava, Canadian Teams have the strongest support and strongest viewerships of all of the teams.

                    Yeah, the NHL is screwed if Canada is insane about hockey and Americans prefer **** like Golf...

                    Less American teams.

                            Tonight is HUGE for the playoffs.

                            Montreal Toronto?? If les habs win they are in. If the leafs win they still don't get in if the Isles win both their games


                            Calgary can clinch if they beat Edmonton-- I expect Edmonton to take motivation from that and actually play reasonably well. But if Calgary cannot win this game, they don't deserve a playoff spot--- even if they end up with one.
