Habs win tonight. Looks like they have beat the flubug. Ryder finally starts scoring. Koivu gets his 500th career point. Habs will be just fine.

OK. Who is a better player? Don't cheat, just use the stats.
Code:GP G A Pt +/- Team 51 7 19 26 8 216 GF, 193 GA 58 13 33 46 22 263 GF, 253 GA
The second player has better offensive production and higher +/-. So in those terms, he is better.
Yelle would be a better comparison for a Flames player, but by all means keep laughing.
In past years he was our best PK player and faceoff man, but not this year. Moreau wasn't your best PK player or faceoffman either.
What makes Moreau so significant?"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

For example, Dallas is 10th in the league in goal differential (GD), but ranked 18th by TSN this week, falling five spots seemingly because of losing three of four - I guess streaks do mean something for some teams, just not others. Colorado is 9th in GD, but ranks 14th on TSN's list, two spots below Carolina which is 17th in GD. For that matter, Calgary's 6th spot in GD is only good for one place higher than Carolina in the TSN rankings. The Rangers rank 20th in GD, but 10th in the power rankings. Etc....
In short, TSN's power rankings are pretty much as ****ty as they've even been, and I wouldn't be inclined to care much how someone defended them.
There's also this little walk down memory lane:

Yes, but they're clearly rather pointless for his rankings, so I'm not sure why he uses them to justify the positioning, nor why you trotted them out in the first place."The French caused the war [Persian Gulf war, 1991]" - Ned

Because the stats are interesting and explains some of the glaring flaws of Edmonton and Vancouver. Namely they get scored on a lot."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Depends what we're talking about.
The second player has better offensive production and higher +/-. So in those terms, he is better.
The first player is Hamrlik, the second is Pitkanen. Both from last season. It wasn't hard to find though. Pitkanen popped up immediately when looking for better numbers from teams just below Calgary in goal differential.
He doesn't count Yelle as a significant injury either. I really don't think so either.
In past years he was our best PK player and faceoff man, but not this year. Moreau wasn't your best PK player or faceoffman either.
What makes Moreau so significant?
Maybe he wouldn't matter if he were playing for 99 out of 100 other teams, but for the Oilers he has been a significant loss when he gets hurt.(\__/)

Pitkanen's +/- seems to show this as well. I'm not sure which point you tried to prove.
Pitkanen got a serious injury last season and he hasn't returned to form this season. Hamrlik got a serious injury last season, didn't return to form last season at all, but certainly has this season."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. If that BS call ruins Kipper's shutout, I'm going to be a very unhappy camper.
Edit: Kipper makes an amazing save on Rolston's bullet as I type that."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
