All very true, but they've gotten some good results lately (beat Anaheim and then SJ twice). I thought they might be able to get in the hunt, but it seems as if their own management disagrees.

Its actually interesting that it is commonly known that Ottawa attempted to pick up Nedved but Edmonton had a better crack at him. The word is they liked Nedved at his 600K price while Comrie will cost them something like 1.6M for the rest of the season.Originally posted by Asher

Oh and Phoenix are stating that the Comrie deal also allows them cap room if they are a "buyer" later this season but none of the hockey analysts see them as anything other than a "seller".
