As an aside, did you know that the Oilers are the proud owners of both #2 and #3 in amount of giveaways?

Jason Smith owns #2 (56 giveaways thus far this season -- impressive!)
Hemsky is #3 at 55 giveaways thus far -- but to his credit he's played in 8 less games.

McCabe, my other favorite NHLer, is at #5 with 52.

Edmonton represents a lot at the top of that chart, actually....Steve Staios has 45.

Of course. I own the Oilers, and not only that, but when Kevin Lowe speaks my voice comes out. And you know what? If you look closely you can see the strings I use to control MacTavish coming down from the rafters.

Actually if you looked at my links, the CBC and Associated Press (last I checked these were organizations paid to report on a subject) were saying the exact same things.

As for Hemsky's salary, he's a bargain. Locked up for 6 years at a very reasonable price for a player of his skills.

But of course, I don't expect someone who doesn't understand how the league and the CBA work to understand.
