That's because Jeff Garcia is the man... though he's always been underrated, even when he's been successful starting (in San Francisco)

The Eagles are doing what the Redskins did last year. The Redskins are doing what they've always done for the past fifteen years. Only good thing about this? The Eagles beat the Cowboys.Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

If I were you, I'd laugh a little less loudly, considering Da Bears about pissed all over their shoes against the mighty Lions.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Which of these players do you think should be the Defensive Player of the Year?
Aaron Kampman GB
Champ Bailey DEN
DeMeco Ryans HOU
Jason Taylor MIA
Julius Peppers CAR
Shawne Merriman SDLife is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

I'd go for Jason Taylor. Without him, who knows where the Dolphins would be. Though Merriman is close behind.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Jason Taylor. He is a man among boys. I didn't see too much Dolphins football this year, but every time I did, he was just dominating. I saw him win a couple games almost single-handedly.
Kampmann? Steadily improving, has dominated a few OTs for sure.
Champ Bailey my #2 choice. Physical, fast enough, handles to top WR, fearless.
DeMeco is a rook, and is no Merriman or Urlacher.
Peppers is a force of nature, but not like Taylor.
Merriman missed 4 games or he'd have my vote.
So based on this (suspiciously Urlacher-free) list, I'm agreeing with Imran.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

I'm not so sure Urlacher is having the best season on his own defense. I'd vote Briggs.
And so now you're rating the Lions as good as Philly?

Believe it or not, -Jrabbit, but Urlacher's numbers are worse than Ryans' (in tackles & sacks). Now that isn't totally conclusive, but I'm sure it had an impact. And I'd figure that Urlacher was seen to have more talent around him probably boosted Ryans up as well.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just a bit surprising that the reigning Defensive Player of the Year is not on this meaningless poll.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

I'd rank them Taylor, Bailey, Peppers, Merriman, with everyone else significantly behind.
Taylor's not a better player than either Bailey or Peppers, but he's had some good luck in addition to his dominating play. It's mostly luck that he got his interceptions in a position where he could return both for touchdowns, but those were gamechanging plays."You're the biggest user of hindsight that I've ever known. Anyways, I got Tennessee, which, as a 'Phins fan, is spot on, because the Titans play Buffalo (Public Enemy #1 in all 'Phins Fans book right now!) this weekend. Go Titans!
