[serious] Thread in which I negotiate with Ben Kenobi for his apology

Ben Kenobi has invaded a very serious thread in which we were discussing crazy people. He came in and with his drams queen antics disrupted the thread with his spam and dishonesty. This thread was created with the best intentions and the spirit of netiquette. We can collectively discuss the terms of Ben Kenobi's apology to me.

Up for discussion:
1) Should it be a public apology or a private apology?
1a) If it's public, should it be in a new thread, this thread, or the original thread?
1b) If it's private, who should he PM it to me? He's not able to PM me for obvious reasons.
2) How thorough should this apology be?
2a) I'm concerned about scope creep. If we asked Ben to apologize for everything he did on here the forum would collapse.
2b) On the other hand, his attack on that thread is unconscionable. He needs to apologize in a verbose manner.
3) Should it be a text apology?
3a) Or should it be recorded via microphone?
3b) Or video camera?

Please keep this thread serious.

I don't think it's out of line for someone to be sensitive on the topic of a parent's death. Not to put too fine a point on it, but demanding an apology for Ben's post, especially after Felch made an effort to defuse the situation, is a bit on the drama queen side in itself. It's only disrupting the thread to the extent that you want it to.

Yes, Ben might have been overly sensitive. But IMHO, you're overreacting this time.

I too had enough with ben Kenobi on many issues. I chose to handle it the best way I can, I put him on IGNORE!

Asher, I really enjoy your posts, your expertise and your wit/intellecy.

You have shared many things with me over the years that is appreciated.

I am no one to tell anyone what to do or not to do.

However, since you asked, I feel the best way is to:

1) Forgive him

2) Dont Forgive him

3) Which ever choice you make..place his name on IGNORE!!

Hope this helps my friend, I hate to see you get upset, especially over the likes of a trivial and unimportant item that is easily remedied
