Sorry to get this off my chest on what we know is a gaming site, though it's the only community forum available in which this might be discussed under a (slightly) anonymous status. Put simply, I'm done with the racist, bigoted and suspicious attitudes that have been present for more than 10 years of my life. No matter how you justify or re-badge these attitudes: as "cultural/moral critiques, statistically justified stereotypes, etc.", it's simply BS and not the way to live healthily with others. Even when dealing with difficult or insulting people, personal attacks of any measure aren't fair. Why further frustrate/complicate the lives of others; those likely dealing with the same issues and misinformed attitudes?
Now it's probably a common sense approach to seek pyscho-therapy and/or counseling, yet I'm still terrified that so many years of these thoughts and occasionally employed insults are too much to simply erase by talk therapy with a professional. Has anyone, at any time, to any degree, achieved success in changing well engrained attitudes, or perhaps lessening the self directed hostility in their lives?
On that note, my sincerest apologies to those insulted in the FREQUENT ****disturbing escapades on this websites over the years. It's a terrible feeling to confront now, looking back on specific things said. Likely most of you took it for what it was, but in any case, insults and abrasive behaviors displayed were never fair or accurate. They were simply a crutch for personal frustration.
