Since my only substantive posts in this thread (as opposed to the ones where I simply made fun of you for being stupid) have to do with explaining the Constitution of the US as it is written in plain English I have no idea how you think you can derive my political tendencies.

I also note the obviously unintentional irony of you accusing me of being a socialist, followed by your exhortation that I do something for my country rather than myself.

You can call me stupid all you want, as I said I have a unique perspective that you don't. I lived a life you didn't, and I have experienced life a lot differently than you. How many friends have you had die from the war? How many gruesome videos, pictures, and first hand experiences have you had to deal with in your life? Federal Reserve...need I say more?
Paper money..."coin money" does not mean issue paper money with no backing.
Income tax...life, liberty, and personal property shall not be infringed upon, yet personal property is taxed. You work and they give you money, that is property.
The list goes on.
So when the gov decides it is going to start taking care of the illegal problem I guess the states can stop trying to find their own ways. I understand section 8, but it isn't doing anything to keep illegals out of the country.

Do you mind paying attention? I simply said that the states cannot make laws which interfere with the prerogatives AS EXPLICITLY GRANTED IN THE CONSTITUTION to the federal government. Outside of these restrictions they have enormous freedom in crafting their own laws.

I also have no idea why this position would be a leftist one.

As for your next post: here's a heartfelt "go **** yourself". There are constant streams of people on the interwebs who claim to have substance abuse problems, ADHD, rage issues, PTSD, etc. etc. etc. Everybody's got their own problems. Deal with them, or don't. If you can't hack losing an argument on the internet then you might want to consider leaving Apolyton RIGHT NOW. Because with your special combination of willful (?) ignorance, poor reasoning skills and a proclivity for expressing strong opinions, this is going to be the first of many.

I judge you based solely on what you post. Offering PTSD as an excuse for being ignorant of even the basics of constitutional law while at the same time feeling free to argue away with those who are so obviously better versed in it than yourself is pathetic.

I didn't admit defeat, but I didn't argue I was right either. What I said, that you are continuing to push, was along the lines of you are blatantly disrespecting my service and what happened to me fighting the war. PTSD as an excuse, no its more of like something that happens when your truck gets hit by an IED. Or when you get tasked with moving a body that was blown to several pieces. Given that the only law they've violated is one passed by Congress, you don't see why it might be the prerogative of Congress to choose not to enforce it strictly?

16th Amendment does allow for Congress to create and issue taxes, but the Bill of Rights is pretty clear that the government will not infringe upon life, liberty, or personal property. And as a side not, can you give me the exact law that requires us to file a 1040 and pay income tax?
I do believe in the Constitution, I don't know where you miss read that. I said the government is violating it, so many politicians break their oaths everyday with some of the laws they are passing.

The interesting thing about politics and opinion, is that in place of a solid defense to debating the opposition slander is often used. I have gotten little support in my view to this issue, and much slander. Guess it's a good thing none of you are politicians.

That's basically all the right wing has left and they are so retarded they don't even know that their obvious race baiting (just listen to right wing conservative AM radio and you'll be sure it is race baiting) continues to harm them in elections. Illegal immigration could be stopped in a day if the conservatives agreed to punish corporations as severely as they punished individual workers but corporations own their ass so that will never happen.

Not to mention that, despite our current recession, the economy usually demands far more low wage workers then we produce domestically so companies go out of their way to illegally recruit workers from 3rd world countries. A real federal ID would also solve many problems but right wingers have an irrational fear of government so they refuse this solution. I'd be for it myself as part of a wider immigration solution (right now we make legal immigration of low skill workers so restrictive it is absurd; make it so people can actually immigrate legally [instead of taking an average of 10 years and $25k] and you'll find tons of people willing to do it legally).

We need realistic immigration goals but if we make it impossible to immigrate legally then people will immigrate illegally which leads to all sorts of abuses and lawlessness. Just make it easy and legal and people will follow the system allowing much of the black market economy to be moved above board and taxed.
