Originally posted by Lorizael View PostCharlie Kirk said black women such as Joy Reid, Michelle Obama, Sheila Jackson Lee, and Ketanji Brown Jackson did not have the "brain processing power" to be taken seriously and that they had to "steal a white person's slot."
He said, "If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified."
He said "large dedicated Islamic areas are a threat to America."
He said the Civil Rights Act was a mistake.
He said MLK was "awful" and "not a good person."
He said Jewish donors "have a lot of explaining to do" because they're the "number one funding mechanism of radical open-border, neoliberal, quasi-Marxist policies, cultural institutions and nonprofits" and that "there will not be a safe future" until "you cleanse that ideology from the hierarchy in the academic elite."
He said that in New York City, "prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people."
That's just a sampling.

it's ok. If you want to help people understand what a horribly biased unrepentant ***** he was, I endorse that. If you want to equate him to Hitler's nazis or say "it's bad he was killed but.." (which you didn't) then I suppose we could argue and debate.
I'll agree that Trump is making the most fascist moves of any US president of my lifetime, but I think we'll have more success in opposing it domestically by sticking to US centered criticism like referencing the Posse Comitatus Act.

Almost nobody knows the technical details of and jargon used to describe fascism; everybody gets the gist.
Where does the sun fall on an HR diagram? What population star is it? What's its metallicity? Mass? You probably don't know the answers to those questions. But you know it when you see it; it's the big hot thing in the sky.Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

If you are so incapable of seeing the signs or purely handwaving them away as sensationalism then you have a serious problem. And turning a blind eye to the rise of fascism is as problematic as openly endorsing it.Speaking of Erith:

Perhaps I have the benefit of seeing this from outside but it is on the same scale as the riser of the Third Reich yet possibly at a faster pace. And let's face some awful facts, how was Fascism eliminated in the end? It wasn't through appealing to the better nature of fascists, let's be honest. So you need to react, and now, to stop this before it gets even worse. You're still in the nascent fascist state, still metastasising.
I don't know whether you're finding it more convenient to ignore facts but you must have noticed that our "sensationalism" over the past months or even years has actually been eerily prescient of what actually happened.Speaking of Erith:

2. When people are discussing politics, it should be obvious that either the labels are irrelevant and have no meaning or if they are to retain any meaning then there will need to be some kind of workable consensus about those meanings among anyone with a voice in the discussion.
3. how would your stance not allow for labelling of all Democrats as communists? Do you recognize how that would be a serious disservice to political discussion?

Your regime is literally sending out black cars with men in masks too black bag people who look "a bit foreign" to disappear them. To be blunt, your lack of outrage concerns me greatly, especially as you are a mere 9 months into his presidency and you can adjust be dragged off the streets and disappeared. Also in Charlie Kirk he (Trump) is already building up a pretext to a Kristallnacht of his very own, calling out for the silencing of the "left". Let you are trying to label me hyperbolic, nay, even hysterical.

The only hindsight being used is looking into history. What is being said about your regime many of us have been saying for years. And you dismissed it. And now you have the audacity to tell us we have the "benefit of hindsight" to say our predictions were true. But we told you then, and we're telling you now, it is real and happening *right now*. Procrastinate at your peril.
