    • No... I'm not sticking up for the Poly crowd. I'm just stating reality. I live in Illinois, and it is run by the dems... but there are a lot of good republicans in the state, and they aren't getting painted as Nazis or Racists. I guess I just don't see it to be the case about non Maga or moderate Republicans. But I agree the Trump/Maga crowd always gets painted at racists... and maybe there is reason why that's the case

      • A fascist of a Nazi is someone you don't agree with.
        Which is a pity...

You can read the bill yourself if you want but that fact was ind Ed widely reported even by the leftist propaganda media.

THE ISSUE The U.S. Senate has finally released the “border security” text that three Senators secretly negotiated for weeks with the Biden Administration. The Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2024 includes more than $20.2 billion for “border” funding and hundreds of pages of border and immigration reforms. The key takeaway is that neither the funding nor the statutory reforms would truly secure the border, and border security is the only measure that Congress should use.

          • Interesting that it was NEARLY IDENTICAL to H.R. 2, a bill the house republicans passed last year. It removed the mandate for employers to verify a worker’s immigration status and employment eligibility, and included about $9 billion in grant programs for border states.
But since Trump said don't pass it, they fell in line and didn't, even though it was very close to a bill they did pass.
As usual, Trump cares only about himself and not helping to solve a problem that he is running on.

Not because later events otherwise make your point look foolish. If the socialists had said that Hitler planned to make everybody speak only German and forbid all other languages (as a hypothetical example) if I were alive to comment I'd be quick to say that there is plenty enough evil Hitler schemes to critique without pulling crap out of our arses to undermine our credibility with.

What is it with Trump's detractors all dead set on establishing meaningful parallels to Adolf Hitler when there is basicially no substance to the parallels at all.
Right, that's surely the reason why I dropped the '33 reference, because my argument is totally bonkers because also Trump didn't declare war on the US, and he didn't end up killing himself in a bunker below Berlin. I'm clearly just pulling stuff out of my arse, you should ignore my dumb rambling.

              • The appellate court reviewing Trump's appeal seems to be tearing Latisia James apart on the supposed fraud case. Trump is eventually going to win when this on appeal. Rightly so too.

                • Let's see how they rule... and their decision will appealed just like his was.
And from reading on multiple sources, it seems that nobody is claiming there wasn't fraud... just that nobody was hurt.
But time will tell on this one. But if goes to the Supreme, Trump will win because the majority loves him and want's to make him a dictator

                  • Either way the two sides will appeal all the way to the supreme court. Oh, and both sides of the agreement said there was no fraud and both parties were happy with the deal. They both made money.

                    • Gee... but it was Fraud. Now that's a fact. Whether both sides were happy doesn't change that.
And let's be real... what major financial company is going to admit they got ripped off by Trump.
Of course they are going to say they were OK with it. Otherwise, they look like the total morons they were.

                      • You keep making that claim but the courts will likely strike it down. If you wanted the video I posted the judges seem rather skeptical. Rightly so too especially since they were asking some extremely basic questions which NY couldn't answer.

                        • I wouldn't be surprised in the end if they reduce the fine by a lot.
But what he did was fraud. The information provided to the financial institutions was purposely incorrect by a lot.
We shall have to wait and see how it all plays out.
But at this moment, he is still a convicted felon. And that's a fact.

                          • So it wasn't a crime because 'nobody got hurt'? I guess they'll be letting Ryan Wesley Route go then.
