The Republicans are the one that want to toss out the constitution and ignore LEGAL elections when they lose.
And saying that Jan 6th was caused by the deep state and "agents of the government" without a shred of proof is DEFENDING the maga morons and Trump.
Plus, the Federal Government was corrupt long before now... so to claim it's the Democrats corrupting the government is just pure nonsense.

I've voted 3rd party since Perot dropped out in '92. The Dems are attacking the 1st Amendment, they've corrupted the federal govt to the point of rigging elections. Whats to like? I dont defend Republicans and there are no Republicans here willing to defend behavior I dislike. Now if Lindsey Graham showed up to debate the virtues of arming Nazis to kill Ukrainians and Russians I'd be willing to offer a different point of view. Calling Jan 6 a riot is not defending MAGA.

They are anti Democracy and want to put a strong man dictator into office. They don't want to support our allies and are more concerned for rich people than they are the middle class, And they hate poor people.
And they continue to ban books and censor anything that doesn't agree with their bigoted agenda.

DeSantis says he has moved in from his fight with Disney. In addition to losing, I think he finally figured out that voters do not care about that stuff

His biggest donor told him to drop the culture war stuff (abortion), but while the base is on his side wrt Disney the issue is too technocratic to inspire passions

DeSantis was asked about the sentiment he's establishment and he said Chip Roy and Thomas Massie have endorsed him. Those names carry weight with the right, he needs more endorsements from respected anti-establishment people. Ofc when he tries to compete with Trump for the base the establishment points their neocon fingers at him, 'shame, shame'...

what happened to the left?

When I was growing up it was the conservatives and right wingers in both parties censoring people and lying us into wars and the left was smeared as pinkos and commies. It was the left that was targeted by the right wing deep state, the FBI was trying (?) to kill MLK for opposing Vietnam. Nixon's drug war to go after hippies and blacks replaced Jim Crow. Now the left beats the drums of war with zeal and smears the peace movement as traitors while censoring the internet.
