I think depending on how AI starts to threaten to make more human jobs redundant the time where socialism makes more sense than capitalism may finally be something whose time has arrived. I think about that timing whenever I see or hear from a socialist.

Star Trek utopianism? Wouldn't be so bad!

                Skynet Terminators? Bad

That was legal according to established law.

Plus - the USSR dissolved itself. There were no armed troops or "little green men" involved.

Love is not blind and willfully ignorant. True love is when you see the object of your love in all its glory (warts and all) and still love.
“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

There was no ANY referendum about the inependence of Kosovo, Dummy!!!

As well, as no referendum about the anchluss of Eastern Germany by the Western Germany in 1990.
That was done without ANY referendums and with a complete vilation of the local constitutions, but you are fine with that, because that was your whores!!!

An independence referendum was held in Kosovo, then known as the Socialist Autonomous Province of Kosovo, between 26 and 30 September 1991. It was even more lopsided in favor of secession than the polls Russian soldiers have held in Ukraine. It was perfectly irrelevant, however as there was no legal means to turn it into dejure independence. It's getting to be quite an old poll now but it's hard to see the kind of subsequent events that would have reduced separatist public support.

Unless the Kosovo parliament had just over 1 million (1,051,357) members, I think you are mistaken. Why are you so convinced there was no referendum?

Because I was adult and conscious, when it did happen in early 2000's after NATO had invided this peace of Serbia and established their rule over there.

It's interesting to compare Serb's links to articles like the one below. The authors immediately lede the article with a bare shelf picture but it's of a Finnish Prisma. I can't help but wonder if such ostentatiously foreign and Western franchises in Russia have been more heavily impacted by the sanctions? And then the numbers that are given in the article seem to indicate far less impact than implied in the image. I would ignore the article as misleading but I'm finding it widely cited in Western media.

I wonder if any reduction in consumer options is noticable to Russians at all yet?

I wonder if the ostensibly private media have an incentive to exaggerate Russia's shortages?
