Prediction Thread: When Will Ukraine Conquer Russia

I'm saying that from a strategic point of view, it was unfortunate that Russia felt compelled to invade Ukraine to protect her national interests, due to the US' aggressive expansion of NATO.

Russia was watching a previously friendly neighbour being flipped into an unfriendly one who, as a member of NATO, would have likely terminated Russia's agreement to access to Sevastopol for its Black Sea Fleet. Putin is on record multiple times since 2008 that this was a red line he would not tolerate.

Russia's psyche as a nation has historically been one of being invaded by foreign powers: Napoleon; Crimean War; the Axis in WWII...

I've laid this out multiple times throughout this thread. Some of those posts may have even survived deletion.

They might have maintained them as a friendly neighbor if they hadn't acted like **** towards them.

One of you C*NTS deleted a quarter of my posts and multiple threads of mine - my post count was comfortably in excess of deity level and some hypocritical sh*tbrain thought it would be funny to delete >2,500 of my posts...

The forum software is rather old and I have no doubt there are dozens of patches, mods, and hot fixes. It can be expected to glitch out from time to time.

Can anyone help me see a way forward on this with Trump at bare minimum threatening to block all future US aid to Ukraine and with his rhetoric suggesting the US could try to pivot sanctions from Russia onto Ukraine? Is there anything that could be done to deter him from further helping Russia to win?

Well, Ukraine held out when Congress blocked US aid for months.

That's no guarantee for the future, but still any view that everything is going to hell the minute US support is withdrawn for good (which we don't know) doesn't seem grounded in reality.

Not saying Ukraine has no probs meanwhile, but so has Russia, albeit rather different ones:

Donkeys are being used by Vladimir Putin’s troops to move ammunition and supplies to the frontline in Ukraine amid a shortage of military vehicles, according to Russian soldiers and war bloggers.

The animals were being provided directly to troops by Russia’s defence ministry, a number of unnamed soldiers said on Telegram.

Russian Telegram channel Mayorsky KortiZol published a video on 5 February in which a Russian soldier said he was given a donkey.

“They gave us a donkey. It’s parked in the support platoon. We have s*** for transport, right? Here’s a donkey. Use it to transport ammunition to the front lines,” he said.

Another Russian serviceman claimed that his unit had received four donkeys and joked about using the animals in the 21st century.

“They’re bringing us donkeys – real ones! Four of them. I don’t know how they’ll divide them... They’re using donkeys to transport ammo. The order is to build a corral for them. 21st century – we’re going to war on donkeys.”

All I can say is we will have to support more to make up the difference after this act of betrayal. And manufacture more of our own armaments avoiding the US entirely. Going to be difficult given our sharing agreements with the US but at this point in time they should be considered null and void and, in fact, a threat to national security.

By extension I am hoping that Trump has ****ed it up for his foreign assets (Farage being one of them), now squirming because his overlord is backing Putin. If Farage U-turns on Ukraine he is going to look not just spineless but also compromised and a traitor. Because now it isn't just being in cohorts with a friendly foreign power which is a bit dodgy (I am alarmed by the amount of interference there has been from the US right-wing in our affairs, it is truly disgusting, and has gone unchallenged). But fully collaborating with an enemy could be interpreted as an act of treason.
